DeGagné is the President and CEO of Indspire and former President and Vice Chancellor of Nipissing University. He is the first Indigenous president named to a public university in Canada, and his work at Nipissing University has been instrumental in the Indigenization of the post-secondary education sector in Canada. He is Anishinaabe from Animakee Wa Zhing 37 First Nation in Ontario.

Sandra Laronde is a highly accomplished arts leader, creator, and the Executive & Artistic Director of Red Sky Performance. She is Anishinaabe from Temagami in northern Ontario.
